Did I ever write about that time I bought a load of jam in a quest to make a Jamaretto? All experiments failed. Well, I needn’t have bothered wasting good jam, because this cocktail is what I wanted, kind of. Well, not really, but the flavour reminded me that I need to get back to my Jamaretto trials. But so far this is the closest thing I’ve made to a cherry bakewell tart cocktail.
Another recipe from the Difford’s Guide, I give you…
The Cham 69 #1
- 2oz Vodka
- 3/4oz Amaretto
- 3/4oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
- 3/4oz Chambord
- Lemonade
Shake the first 4 ingredients with ice and strain over more ice into a Collin’s glass. Top up with lemonade and garnish with a Luxardo cherry.
This is a fun, tall, just sweet enough cocktail. It looks pretty cool too. Try it!
