Happy National Tequila Day! I’d love to join you for a shot, but I celebrated a day early and now don’t feel the greatest today.
However, I did have time to make this awesome Tequila Caliente earlier in the week, after picking up some very reasonably priced Cassis in Lidl (£6.99)
The recipe I first had contained a whooping 100ml of tequila, which is unnecessary. Here’s what I made:
Ingredients
- 50 ml gold tequila
- 2 dashes of grenadine
- 25 ml cassis / black currant liqueur
- 25 ml lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- Soda water
- Ice
- Lime peel to garnish
Equipment
- 10 oz Collins glass
- Bar spoon for stirring
Method
- Fill a glass with ice
- Add all the ingredients minus the soda water and stir with your bar spoon
- Top with soda water
- Another little stir
- Garnish
So simple, so tasty. Dark berries go so well with tequila.
Enjoy!
